n her autobiographical sketch, Chiara has stated, “A resume is some-
thing dry and impersonal, but behind every line there is life, passion
Iand hard work.” She encourages her students not to waste much time
reading her resume, but to get to know her for who she is, and what she
has accomplished.
Chiara was born in Voghera, in the Piedmont area of Italy. She became
