Caring for keshiki
• Water carefully for the first
month, and avoid using any
high-pressure water. From then
on, treat as a normal bonsai,
but do not transplant until
it is absolutely necessary.
• Moss changes over the year.
Try to keep it moist in summer.
It is perfectly normal for one
variety to thrive while others
die—moss can be very particular
about where it will grow.
• Display on a bench, on a patio,
or for short periods of time in
your home to appreciate this
fun and playful side of bonsai.
