No matter how attractive the pot, if it is
unsuitable for cultivation, it will be a poor
match. Bonsai pots need holes in the base
to allow excess moisture to escape and fresh
air to enter. Pots made by enthusiasts who
know the horticultural needs may have
extra holes for anchor wires, but these can
be threaded through the drainage holes.
