Bonsai and stone appreciation is thriving in Indonesia and
other Southeast Asian countries. The abundance of excellent
material and the influences of various bonsai artists from oth-
er countries who have been teaching in Indonesia for many
years has led to the establishment of strong and vibrant com-
munities of artists and collectors.
