Air layering is a useful technique that allows you
to create new bonsai almost instantly from the
branch of a garden tree or the apex of overgrown
bonsai. It is relatively easy to do, and deserves a
place in the armory of every bonsai enthusiast.
Choosing suitable trees

and vigorous deciduous trees: conifers
are generally more difficult.
