A  selection  of  kusamono  created  by  Young  Choe  for  a  2007  summer  exhibition,  “The  Art  of
               Kusamono.”  Clockwise  from  top  left:  1)  Sand  Spikerush  (Eleocharis  montevidensis);  2)  Switch
               Grass  (Panicum  virgatum  ‘Northwind’),  Blue  False  Indigo  (Baptisia  australis),  Bush  Clover
               (Lespedeza  sp.)  and  Autumn  Sage  (Salvia  greggii);  3)  Oak  Sedge  (Carex  pensylvanica)  and

                    Adjacent  to  the  museum’s  pavilions,  there  is  a  grow-out  space  where  the
               trees  rest  and  “take  a  vacation”  from  being  on  view  in  the  public  pavilions.
               Trees, like people, need some time out to just relax.
                    Volunteers help the museum’s staff to care for 300 trees. They provide an
